Mount Cook

Being one of those few people who get a tad scared on an airplane there’s one thing I never thought I’d do, and that’s get on a single engine, 8 seated flying machine. But how can you not when the opportunity of a lifetime is staring you in the face. If you’re in the Mount Cook area we strongly recommend taking a flight. 

Mount Cook and its surrounding glaciers were simply spectacular, seeing the snow-capped mountains from what felt like only meters above was unlike anything we had seen before, and to top it off we landed on a glacier, above the clouds, and stepped on to a surface that was basically untouched, we felt on top of the world.
